Welcome to Margaret & Margaret!

Since 1985, Margaret & Margaret has been providing the stitching world with traditional sampler designs for the discriminating stitcher.

Margaret McKee Huey was raised in the port city of Annapolis, Maryland where her traditional parents instilled admiration for her southern American heritage. She was taught the art of stitching at the age of five and began designing samplers from an early age. By the winter of 1985, armed with seven new sampler designs, she embarked on her needlework business that specializes in counted cross-stitch samplers. Her work was immediately recognized by the needlework industry as designs with unique appeal. Her classic sampler designs continue to be affectionately embraced by stitchers from all over the world.

Over the years, Margaret McKee Huey has provided the dedicated needlewoman with designs that reflect the traditional appearance of the Eighteenth Century, while restoring the original colors. Many of Margaret & Margaret samplers contain Biblical verses that testify of her faith, as well as being faithful to the needlework of the Colonial period.

Thank you for all the love and encouragement over the years as we celebrate many years of Sampler Designs & Traditions!
